As CGE Evaluation, we took part in the webinar titled "From Reporting to Impact: Turning Sustainability into Investment and Value", organized in collaboration with the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB). At this event, where we discussed the transformation of sustainability in financial markets, the role of artificial intelligence technologies in this process, and the future of carbon markets, we came together with the leading names of the sector.

A Transformation Journey That Creates Value

During the webinar, it was emphasized that sustainability is a concrete risk management and value creation tool rather than a reputation indicator. The highlighted topics were as follows:

• The Financial Impact of Sustainability: Our Chairwoman of the Board Behiye Tülin Seçen, noting the critical importance of integrating sustainability into corporate strategies, stated that data infrastructure and corporate governance are the cornerstones of this transformation.
• Academic and Empirical Perspective: Our Board Member Prof. Dr. Recep Bildik addressed the impact of non-financial data on long-term company performance from an academic perspective. He shared the need for standardization in ESG scores and the tendencies of global investors regarding such data.
• The Era of Artificial Intelligence in Sustainability: As CGE, we discussed how we use artificial intelligence in data collection, verification, and especially in forward-looking risk/opportunity forecasts. The strategic advantages that AI provides in resolving data inconsistencies in sustainability reports attracted great interest from the participants.
• Green Financing and Carbon Markets: The development of green debt instruments in Türkiye, the legal framework of the Turkish Carbon Offsetting System (TR KDS), and the potential of carbon credits to turn into a financial instrument were detailed.

Our TSPB Carbon Neutral Congress Experience

We shared the details of the "Carbon Neutral Congress" process we carried out at the 9th Turkish Capital Markets Congress. Our Sustainability Specialist Yunus Duruk explained step by step how the congress's carbon footprint was calculated according to ISO 14064 standards, which methodologies were followed, and with which types of carbon credits these emissions were successfully offset.
